Neighbor’s Ring Camera Footage Emerges in Nancy Guthrie Kidnapping Case

New surveillance video from a neighbor of Nancy Guthrie has surfaced as investigators continue to search for the 84-year-old mother of NBC Today show host Savannah Guthrie, now missing for over 25 days from her Tucson, Arizona home.

The New Video Evidence
A Ring camera belonging to neighbors Elias and Danielle Stratigouleas — positioned on a street-facing side of a home in the Catalina Foothills neighborhood — captured 12 vehicles passing by between midnight and 6 a.m. on February 1, the date Guthrie was reported missing. Some of the recorded vehicle activity occurred around the 2:30 a.m. mark, which is significant because that is approximately when Guthrie’s pacemaker device last synced with her iPhone. The property is located roughly 2.5 miles from Guthrie’s residence — just outside the 2-mile radius from which investigators had originally sought footage.

The neighbors told Fox News Digital that police had not canvassed their neighborhood in the 25 days since Guthrie’s disappearance, despite the FBI and Pima County Sheriff’s Department now being alerted to the footage. It remains unclear whether any of the vehicles made multiple passes or whether the footage holds direct investigative value.

What Happened to Nancy Guthrie?
Nancy Guthrie was last seen on the night of January 31, 2026, when a family member dropped her off at her Catalina Foothills home after a dinner gathering. She was reported missing the following day when she failed to appear at church. Authorities believe she was forcibly taken from her home during the early hours of February 1, describing it as a home invasion kidnapping.

A previously released doorbell camera video from Guthrie’s own home showed a masked individual armed with a gun, carrying a backpack, and appearing to tamper with the camera by blocking it with branches. Blood found on her porch was confirmed through DNA testing to belong to Guthrie. The front security camera was also found to be missing from the property.

Scale of the Investigation
The FBI has amassed as many as 10,000 hours of surveillance footage as part of the investigation, with further canvassing efforts undertaken in recent weeks to collect additional footage from the neighborhood. Over 23,000 tips have been submitted to the FBI, though this week investigators were reported to be awaiting results from a complex DNA test that could take weeks.

President Trump announced he was “deploying all resources” to locate Guthrie, and Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos stated that over 400 officers have been dedicated to the case. The Guthrie family has announced a $1 million private reward for information leading to her safe return, and Savannah Guthrie pledged an additional $500,000 donation to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Broader Community Response
A group of Mexican mothers known as the Searching Mothers of Sonora, who have lost their own family members, have joined efforts to search for Nancy Guthrie both in Arizona and across the border in Mexico, arguing that officials are not doing enough. Law enforcement activity continued this week at Guthrie’s home, with drone video showing detectives examining the backyard near the pool and front porch area where blood was found.

The emergence of the neighbors’ Ring camera footage — from a location that police had not previously canvassed — underscores both the vast geographic scope of this investigation and potential gaps in the early evidence-gathering process. While the footage alone may not crack the case, it reinforces the critical role that civilian-provided surveillance can play when official search parameters fall short. With DNA analysis still pending, over 10,000 hours of video under review, and no identified suspects after nearly a month, investigators face mounting pressure as the window for a safe recovery remains uncertain.
