Karoline Leavitt Faces Backlash Over Fashion Choice Amid Diplomatic Controversy

Washington, D.C. – White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, known for her assertive communication style, recently found herself at the center of social media scrutiny following a perceived contradiction between her public statements and personal fashion choices.

Diplomatic Dispute Sparks Debate
The controversy began when Leavitt responded to comments made by French politician Raphaël Glucksmann, who suggested that the United States should return the Statue of Liberty to France, citing concerns over America’s current values. In a press briefing, Leavitt retorted, “My advice to that unnamed low-level French politician would be to remind them that it’s only because of the United States of America that the French are not speaking German right now.”

Her remarks drew criticism from various quarters, with some labeling them as disrespectful to a longstanding ally.

Fashion Choice Fuels Further Criticism
Shortly after the diplomatic exchange, Leavitt posted a photo on Instagram featuring herself carrying a Louis Vuitton Neverfull MM tote, a luxury handbag from the renowned French fashion house. Observers quickly pointed out the irony of criticizing France while showcasing a French-designed accessory.

One commenter remarked, “Why have a Louis Vuitton bag if everything from France is so bad?” Others defended Leavitt, praising her professionalism and appearance.

Personal Life Amid Public Scrutiny
Despite the backlash, Leavitt has not publicly addressed the controversy. Instead, she shared moments from her personal life, including photos of her son assisting in the kitchen and spending time with family.
