Justin Bieber Speaks Out: “I Wasn’t One of Diddy’s Victims—Let the Spotlight Stay on Those Who Were”

A spokesperson for Justin Bieber has put an end to the swirling speculation that the pop star was ever abused by hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs. In a statement first shared with TMZ, Bieber’s camp made it clear that, while disturbing allegations have been leveled against Combs, the singer was not among the people harmed.

Combs, 55, was arrested last September after a grand jury indictment in Manhattan. Prosecutors charged him with one count of racketeering conspiracy, two counts of sex trafficking, and two counts of transporting individuals for prostitution—charges the producer vehemently denies. The high-profile trial began earlier this week, drawing intense media attention because of both the gravity of the accusations and Combs’ long-standing celebrity status.

Footage circulating online has added fuel to the rumor mill. Clips from 2010 show a 15-year-old Bieber alongside Combs, who boasted they were going to “go wild” together for 48 hours. Two years later, the rapper joked on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that Bieber “knows better than to talk about what he does with Big Brother Puff on national television.” These videos resurfaced after authorities raided Combs’ Los Angeles home last March, stoking public concern about Bieber’s past interactions with the mogul.

The conjecture grew so intense that Bieber, now 31, felt compelled to address it. “Although Justin is not among Sean Combs’ victims, there are individuals who were genuinely harmed by him,” the singer’s representative said. “Shifting focus away from this reality detracts from the justice these victims rightfully deserve.”

While Bieber’s clarification may quell rumors about his own involvement, it also redirects attention to those testifying against Combs. As the trial progresses, more celebrity names could emerge—even if they played no role in the crimes alleged. For now, Bieber hopes the conversation centers on supporting survivors and ensuring that genuine accounts of abuse are neither overshadowed nor forgotten.
