Carol Vorderman Shows off Sculpted Abs and Curves as Dermot O’Leary Jokes about Her “Special Friends”

TV veteran Carol Vorderman recently turned heads by posting gym selfies that highlight her hourglass figure, complete with toned abs and a shapely posterior accentuated by snug workout attire.

The Welsh TV personality is no stranger to hard graft in the gym—her Instagram is filled with workout clips and fitness updates. Fans affectionately dub her “Supervorders” as they shower her with admiration.

At 62, Carol recently celebrated an incredible 40‑year television career, clocking over 10,000 appearances on shows like Countdown, Lorraine, The Great Celebrity Bake Off and This Morning.

Beyond her on-screen presence, Carol earned her private pilot’s license in 2014 and joined NASA’s Challenger Center board in 2015—helping inspire children in space science. She pairs intelligence with an impressive fitness ethic.

Addressing fitness as a woman over 60, Carol told HELLO! that many from her generation didn’t grow up exercising. Now she emphasizes strength training, stretching, and squats, warning that skipping workouts can make you feel “creaky” quickly.

Her gym Instagram post featured her in a grey crop top and figure‑hugging leggings, alongside weights and cable rope pulls that flatly accentuated her sculpted physique. In her caption, she shared:
“Five gym sessions this week. Just so good to get the routine going again. Eating clean, loads of water, lots of walking, fresh air… my happy state to be honest.”.

Supportive comments flooded in: one admirer declared her a “fountain of youth,” another simply said, “Supervorders.” Admirers also threw in flirtatious compliments like, “There’s no way I could keep up with you, but I would like to find out,” and “Wow what a way to spend a weekend—a special friend.”

On This Morning, co‑host Dermot O’Leary seized the moment to joke about Carol’s romantic life—particularly her self‑described “special friends.” His quip came as she was absent from the show, drawing laughter from co‑host Alison Hammond.

Carol has been open about her decade‑long, no‑strings‑attached friendships with five single men, each aware of the others, yet living life on her terms. Her children (Katie, 31, and Cameron, 25) are familiar with most of them. She emphasizes honesty and freedom—rejecting societal pressures to find one partner to fulfill everything in life.

In a playful Instagram video, Carol lip‑synced and danced to “It’s Raining Men,” earning praise from fans calling her “absolutely brilliant” and “bloody gorgeous”.

Carol Vorderman’s dedication to fitness, her unapologetic independence, and her candid social media presence continue to inspire. From gym selfies to charming banter on live TV, she’s proving that confidence and authenticity shine at any age.
