Kai Trump was seventeen when a gunman opened fire at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, grazing her grandfather’s ear. Four days later, she walked onto the stage at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee for her first public speech ever.

Kai is the eldest of Donald Trump’s ten grandchildren, the daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Trump. Before July 2024, she’d mostly stayed out of the spotlight — an avid junior golfer better known on Instagram than in headlines.
